Flow Cytometry Sales Specialist 

Miltenyi Biotec Inc., a global leader in biological magnetic cell separation science, is seeking a Flow Cytometry Sales Specialist to call on customer laboratories providing pre and post sales efforts on the instrument in response to sales opportunities. Working independently or with technical sales representatives, Flow Cytometry Sales Specialist will be performing presales presentations, product demonstrations, technical seminars and training for individuals and groups as warranted.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet and/or exceed company MACS QuantTM sales forecasts in designated territory
  • Perform on site product demonstrations for prospective clients
  • Routinely make customer presentations and move them through the typical sales process
  • Identify potential sales leads and develop sales plan for converting leads to sales using available resources
  • Contact researchers and review upcoming demonstration information
  • Conduct follow-up site visits post installation/training for existing MACSQuantTM customers routinely
  • Ongoing support of existing customers with MACSQuantTM technical questions or provide additional training via phone or in the lab
  • Participate in strategic market analysis to define potential opportunity for maximizing MACSQuantTM sales
  • Conduct technical training sessions with customers
  • May include participation in providing technical, specialized and other training to sales staff as needed
  • Work collaboratively in shared accounts to grow the sales of the company overall
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required

Requirements: Ph.D., M.S., or B.S. degree in biological sciences, immunology, molecular biology, or similar field with 5 to 8 years related experience with a minimum of 3 years of flow cytometry experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer sales experience in capital equipment or diagnostic instruments.

Other Requirements: Must possess a valid driver's license, evidence of insurance / insurability and ability to receive appropriate clearance to access restricted government accounts.
