Spaltudaq Corporation, a privately-held biotechnology company based in Seattle, is focused on developing novel tumor-specific therapeutic antibodies for the treatment of cancer and infectious disease. FACS Core Facilities Position
This individual will play a lead role in flow cytometry efforts at Spaltudaq. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the setup and day-to-day operation of the Aria II; maintenance of our small but heavily used facility; QA/QC of experimental reagents and processes and tracking/ database management for flow cytometry data.
Qualified candidates must possess a BS/BA or MS degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline and have a minimum of 6 years related academic or industry experience in a research/development environment with at least 2 years experience with sorting multiple cell types. Multicolor analysis and familiarity with digital flow cytometry software is essential. Direct industry experience/coursework in immunology is an asset. The successful candidate will also have expertise in database maintenance and the ability to analyze and present data. Work with biohazardous materials as well as familiarity with the culture of cell lines and hybridomas is also a requirement for this position. This individual will demonstrate the ability to work with co-workers professionally and tactfully; have the ability to work accurately and with close attention to detail; and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and knowledge.
