Message from J. Paul Robinson

As Chair of the Communications committee of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE), I would like to encourage any ISAC member who would like the opportunity to participate in a very rewarding experience. The first day (Sept 15th) is an opportunity to meet leading individuals who impact healthcare from industry, academe, and government. On the second day, you have the unique opportunity to visit members of congress and senators on the Hill to provide them positive examples of the impact of our science on quality of life. You will be tutored and accompanied by experts who will help you on the visits. You will be meeting representatives from your own state, so it is very relevant to your needs as a scientist.

I have personally done this several times and it is a particularly rewarding experience having the opportunity to explain the importance of medical and biological research to our politicians. ISAC is a member of AIMBE's Council of Societies which is sponsoring this opportunity.

Please see the links attached for registration and the program.
