ISAC E-NEWS -- Fall 2004 Special Edition

Electronic-only Access to Cytometry Offers Lower Dues Option

When ISAC members receive their invoices for 2005 they will have the option of either continuing to receive a hard copy of ISAC's journal, Cytometry, or they may switch to an electronic copy. Selecting the electronic option will result in reduced membership dues for 2005.

  • Regular members receiving Cytometry electronically only will pay $100 a year for membership. All other membership benefits will remain the same except they will no longer receive a paper copy of Cytometry.

  • Regular members who choose to continue receiving printed copies of Cytometry will also have electronic access to the journal and will pay $125 per year.

  • Student members will have three options:
    • Print and electronic subscription to Cytometry
    • Electronic only
    • No subscription to Cytometry

An electronic subscription to Clinical Cytometry is not an option for 2005, but it may be in the future.

Membership renewal notices will be mailed in October.

Committee and Task Force Milestones

Big deal you say? Well, this is a very big deal and you are encouraged to read the milestones that have been agreed upon by the committee chairs. The milestones below provide a clear idea of what ISAC is considering in the way of changes and modifications in the way ISAC operates and manages itself. They are also available on the ISAC Web site at http://www.isac-net.org/committees/milestones.htm.

A list of committee and task force members and chairs was in the last ISAC E-News and is also posted on the ISAC Web site at http://isac-net.org/committees/index.htm. You are strongly encouraged to review these milestones and to contact the appropriate chairpersons if you have suggestions or concerns. Future issues of ISAC E-News will have updates from each of the committees and task forces so you can stay informed as things progress. The goal here is to provide updates as contrasted with "final decisions."
