Scientific Advisory Committee

Each President appoints the Scientific Advisory Committee and its chair with concurrence of Council. Committee Members serve a single term. The President and President-elect are ex-officio Members of the Committee.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as an advisory body for the International Congress, advising on themes, chairs, content, etc.
  • Work toward a broad spectrum of educational goals.
  • Assist with interim meetings.
  • Annually review guidelines for Committee activities and bring any suggestions to Council at their annual meetings.
  • Review and evaluate proposals for meetings endorsed or sponsored by ISAC.

Meeting Organization support

The Society will provide endorsement and, in some cases, support in the form of grants or loans of meetings, workshops, and courses that further the goals of the Society and the field of analytical cytology and advanced cellular analysis. Applications for endorsement and support are reviewed by the SAC, and awards are made based on merit and subject to the availability of funds.
