Finance Committee

The Finance Committee is comprised of the Treasurer of the Society, who chairs the Committee, and four General Members of the Society. The President and President-elect are ex-officio Members of the Committee. The Finance Committee may appoint an audit sub-committee or perform the function when needed. Each President appoints two Members of this Committee with concurrence of Council. The appointed Members serve two terms each with two new Members taking office at the beginning of each term.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Focuses on finance, financial controls and increasing non-dues revenue.
  • Requests proposed budgets for all Society activities from Committees of the Society
  • Prepares a balanced yearly operating budget to be submitted to Council for approval
  • Reviews quarterly financial statements and monitors the financial operation of the Society throughout the year
  • Makes recommendations to the Council regarding requests to expend unbudgeted ISAC funds
  • Reviews investment policy for reserves. Reviews completed audit and makes recommendations to Council as necessary.
